The Elixir telemedicine platform was tested on patients who were being transported from their home to the hospital.The health worker in the ambulance could easily connect with the doctor at the hospital and take instructions. He could conduct the required procedures on the patients during transit.

Patients sometimes visit the hospital when specialized doctors are not available. In such cases, patients are connected to the specialized doctors through the video conferencing application via computer. They found it to be very difficult to show the physical condition of the patient through a camera mounted on the computer.Then, they used the Elixir Telemedicine Platform on those patients to connect them to remote doctors.

The Elixir telemedicine platform was very useful in showing the exact condition of the patient including the wounds to the remote doctor to get the real-time advice and corresponding treatment.
